m00n drops bombs re. CD writing progs
This summer, MS will release SQL Server 2005. It should be an awesome release, with a nice boost in performance. But even more significant is the pricing. Their MSDE engine, which currently limits you to 5 concurrent SQL operations, will be significantly enhanced in everyone's favor. It will no longer be limited by concurrent operations, only by the memory in your database machine (1GB), and by the database size (4GB). This is totally excellent news for anyone who has an affinity for MS SQL Server, and who doesn't want to pay big bucks for a decent working version of it.
